New Years
by Matt New Years is fun because you can light off fireworks. This new year was the best because I went to the mud truck show. My two cousins fell down. I didn't, and that's all I did for new years.
Sledding
by Jake I really like sledding a lot. It's my favorite thing to do besides fishing. My family and I live at 1,500 ft. in elevation, so we get a lot of snow. We get so much snow my dad made a hill for us to sled on. I go down the hill so fast that I can't stop. So I hit a tree a lot. My dad and mom got me a tin sled so my dad can wax it and that makes me go fast!
Retro Day
by Zach On Retro Day I dressed up like a computer nerd. Blue, red, yellow and green squared shirt. Tight black pants, white socks, and blue and shite shoes. Plus my favorite HUGE glasses which the rims are brown and kind of clear. Everone laughed so hard when I showed them my outfit.
Snow
by Kyle Today I woke up, took my shower, and started down the hallway. I noticed it had snowed. It was an icy, dry, snow. There was about half an inch worth, but was good enough to satisfy me for the first snow. Also today when I was on safety patrol it was raining half rain and half snow, so that means (since I live higher than 900 ft.) it is snowing at my house. I hope we get a lot.
Volleyball
by Stacy I love volleyball. I think it is very fun to play. The part I like best is when I'm serving the ball because I think I'm really good at serving. So I really like volleyball.
Music
by Ann MarieMusic is fun because you learn and listen at the same time. Music or reading notes, if you read notes it really helps your math skills. I play clarinet and it is pretty fun except I don't know the high notes yet.
Sports
by Jennifer I like sports. My favorite is basketball because I played it for 3 years in a row. This is my 4th year. I also like football. I think it is interesting and if I was a boy I would probably play it. My third most favorite is volleyball. I like to serve the ball and try to hit it to the other side.
Snow
by Caleb I like snow because you can go sledding and skiing and snowboarding and innertubing. I like it when it snows a lot so school is out. Then I can go play in the snow and sled down big hills. . . . .
Sledding
by Melissa I love to go sledding, especially in Alaska. We usually go to the biggest sledding hill in Alaska. We used to go snowboarding and skiing, and then my mom, me, Brandi, Josh, and Candi used to go on the tram. Alaska was my favorite place to go sledding.
Snow Days
by A. J. For snow days I sled down my driveway. I do that all day and I drink hot chocolate. I also build snowmen and snow castles.
Volleyball
by Ashley I personally like volleyball because I like sports that use a lot of team work and that don't have assigned positions. I am so glad that we're having intermurals with the whole 6th grade so we can get a chance to see how our teammates will play next year and we can improve.
Music
by Matt Music is cool because you get to play the piano and drums and different things. You can make up a story with a song in it. We are playing piano in our music room. It's fun to play music.
The Millennium Project
by Terra Here at Petersen School many of the sixth graders do projects to decorate our halls. This year we have decided on a millennium milk box project. All of the sixth grade collected milk boxes from the fourth and fifth graders, then we washed and dried them. We cut out pieces of paper to fit around the milk boxes. We decorated them and strung them and we hung them up in the hall . We did this to see just how many 2000 is.
Snowboarding
by Ashley I got a snowboard for Christmas two years ago. My favorite place to snowboard is Timberline and my second is the Ski Bowl. I love snow boarding! Just a couple of weeks ago I went and I had a t-shirt on and my board pants with no hat or sweatshirt because there was no wind at all.
Sledding
by Adam I have only been sledding once or twice, but when I did it was very exciting. I borrowed a sled from my friend and lay on my stomach and went down the hill we made at 2 or 3 mph. I gave the sled back and my friend's dad lay down on the sled and told us to get on his back. Then we flew down the hill.
Snow Days

I love snow days and I love it when it snows really hard and there is some ice and then we go sledding.
New Years
by Tiffani There's a lot of new stuff in the New Year. There's going to be a lot of fun things in the next one-hundred years. Like some of us might be a doctor or one of the people that designs computers.For New Years Eve Ashley and I babysat across the street from me. It was a baby. She was cute. The baby fell asleep before the new year. Ashley and I stayed up and counted down.
