Fall, 1999
Dear Mrs. Huffman,

My name is Joe. I sit on the left side of the room. I'm going to tell you about my trip to Alaska last summer.

On Monday morning we left at 9:00 to go to Alaska. We got on the plane and left.

The mountains we went over were Mount Hood and Mt. McKinley. When we landed it took us a half an hour to get our luggage and find my aunt and uncle.

The first thing we did was go on their 4-wheelers. I got on my cousin's and went down the hill and almost tipped over when we turned the corner. That night we drove the 4-wheelers off-road and the one I was on got a flat so we went back to the house and got the truck.

The next day my cousin had a baseball game and he was the pitcher and while we were there I got a cut on my side.

The next day we packed up and it took us an hour to get to the airport. We put our stuff on the loading ramp and waited an hour before we got on the airplane and left. When we got home we thought it was 2:30 in the afternoon and it really was 2:30 in the morning. Then the next day we where really sore from going on trips while we where there.

Sincerely,
Joe
