Fall, 1999
Dear Mrs. Huffman,
My name is Caleb, and I sit by the teachers desk. I have black hair and brown
eyes. I can run fast, well, I could run fast until something happened to my foot.
My friend Adam and I were taking down his tree fort one day, and I was swinging on a branch. I was having fun jumping off it onto the ground. Then I felt a pain in my foot and I jumped and ran to the sidewalk to sit down. I took off my shoe and their was a hole in my foot from a nail. I didn't think it was to bad so I just put a band-aid on it.
The next day my mom said that I needed to go see a nurse. So I went to see the nurse and she said I needed a shot. So she gave me a shot on the arm. It didn't hurt that bad. I couldn't run or walk that well for a week. I was happy when I could run again.
Sincerely,
Caleb
