Fall, 1999
Dear Mrs. Huffman,

I sit in the front of the room, (by the way my name is Ann Marie) facing the window, but of course it doesn't really matter because we move desks anyway.

Back to the point of the letter. This incident happened about 2 years ago. My brother, my neighbors, and I were setting off fireworks (under adult supervision), and my neighbor set one off and it hit me right in the arm.

My brother rushed me inside and poured peroxide on it, then put a big band-aid on it. My mom came home and was very upset about it but she settled down.

Now I have a big scar on my right arm. I thank my brother for being there for me. My brother is the one to thank a million times.

Yours Truly,
Ann Marie
