Fall, 1999
Dear Mrs. Huffman,

My name is Amanda. I have red hair and brown eyes and I have freckles -- that is until they turned purple and blue, and that was a very scary day for me.

I was at my brother's soccer game. There was about 15 min. left of the game. My friend Becky was there too! We were playing on the bars that are hanging. I was going to go backwards, but then I had just gotten my grip. Then......... The moment came. It was 1:05. There I lay unconscious. My friend Becky started laughing cause she thought that it didn't hurt. So then I started to get up. I couldn't. My arm had hurt so bad.

In those couple of minutes it seemed like an hour of terrible pain that never did stop. The pain I still have today, 10/26/99. So the rest of the day I had to have a ice pack on my nose and eyes and forehead .
