Dear Mrs. Huffman,
My name is Tryn. I am the girl that sits next to the citizenship stamp board. I have blondish-brown hair (it's pretty long, too). I also consider my grades to be good. Now here's the exciting part! Listen up!
Last year in 5th grade my brother got glasses for far sight and I thought they were really cool. I told my mom that the words were bleary when I read something.
After a while, finally, I got an appointment at the family vision center in Scappoose. When I got there they found out that I needed glasses for near sight.
They didn't have green (which is my favorite color) frames I wanted. So they had to order the green frames. I waited and waited.
When I got them people laughed and teased me. I was embarrassed, but I got over it and now when people call me "four eyes" I say back, "four eyes are better than two."
Now, I don't care what anyone says about my glasses and I never get embarrassed if anyone says something.
So what I'm trying to say is that I don't get embarrassed very easy and if I do get embarrassed I get over it very quickly.
Sincerely,
Tryn

Crazy Cat
Winter, 1999
In this story you will read about my crazy cat named Mister or M.A.C. if he's being mean. M.A.C. stands for Mister Attack Cat. Also you will read about his mini adventures. Now, for the two adventures I will tell you about.
When I was 9 ½ just after fourth grade in the summer. My mom and dad brought home a kitten from a garage sale that was white. We thought it was a siamese. I had a cat once before, but it ran away. I was so suprized that my parents got me a kitten.
After he could run he would go weird and race around the house (getting exercise I guess). In the summer time we would open a window in our living room so he could go out side. To get fresh air and hunt for mice and birds. This cat just to tell you is not a lazy cat. Every night we shut the window so he can't go outside.
Well, one night he I guess didn't see that the window was shut and he was running around the house,. Well, he, he, he ran straight into the window. His head snapped back and he fell onto the floor. My brother and I ran over to see if he was ok, but like usual he got up pretty soon and was ok.
Now, how was that little adventure. I hope you liked it and will read my next adventure with Mister.
It was in the same summer and Mister was outside. We had our only dog out that would kill Mister or any other cat. Well, my mom, brother, and I were all outside working in the yard. I said to my mom we had better watch Bree (the dog that was out) because she might try to kill Mister. Right about then Bree comes running around the corner of the house chasing Mister.
My mom tried to get Bree and I tried to get Mister, but we both missed them. By that time Mister was on the side of the house attached to the screen on the window. My mom finally caught Bree and put her in our kennel. At the same time she said, "Tryn, put that cat in the house NOW!" I took Mister off the window and put him in the house.
I think that might have scared me more than it did Mister because I like him so much.
After that I went back to work along with my mom and brother. My mom then said breathing hard, "Lets never ever let those two out at the same time again."
Well, did you like my stories about my cat. I hope you did. Mister is now almost two and very healthy. Again I hoped you like my stories, and had an exciting time reading them.
