Once a very, very long time ago, when there were gods, lived one very beautiful and kind goddess. She was named Demeter. She was a lovely god. Demeter was the goddess of the harvest, meaning food. Well, anyway one day when everything was going really good until Hades, the god of the underworld decided to pay a little visit to Demeter.

When Hades showed up it made Demeter angry because last time he took Demeter's daughter Persephone and said he was going to marry her. Well, so she got so angry she somehow created a storm, which had very strong winds and rain. It got very dark and she created thunder and lightning. The storm was one of the most strongest and most powerful storms that has ever been created in history. (There wasn't much of that before this day.).

After the storm was over Hades never showed his ugly face again. (Well, he lied a little.) But soon all the damage was cleared up and flowers began to bloom and food began to grow. And all the gods, goddesses and mortals threw a big party for Persephone's homecoming and Demeter's work on getting rid of Hades.

It is said that whenever there is a storm and that's Demeter getting rid of Hades and getting the girls he captured for a wife. That's the story of Demeter's storm.
