Mrs. Huffman A-6

English: Storm Story

There was once a great goddess who controlled the rain, snow, hail, sleet, thunder, lightning, and wind. She didn't really have a name, she was named a lot of names for example: Gust, Sleet, but most common, Thunder.

This particular night, Thunder was trying to get to sleep on her cloud above the little city of Scappoose. She tried and tried, but she couldn't even get a blink of sleep. Thunder grew angry, and decided to start a terrible storm that would keep humans in their homes so they wouldn't make so much noise. She started making the air grow cooler.....colder...........

It started to rain, soft at first and then it started to come down harder and faster. The wind was a different matter, the wind started out hard and gusts started right away at about 60 miles per hour. Trees were starting to rain wave and many fell on roads, houses, and power lines which cut off electricity. Big, dark clouds started hogging up the sky, and lighting, bright enough to light up houses who lost power. The thunder, loud enough to break glass when the sound waves hit them.

Humans stayed their homes, those stuck on roads from fallen trees and electricity poles pulled over and waited tell morning to go home. The Thunder and lighting stopped, which allowed Thunder to get to sleep while the humans stayed home or slept in their vehicle.

The next morning the trees were moved, electricity was back, and Thunder had a good night sleep. The humans decided when they do things, they should do them more carefully.
