After a while it started to get a weird tingling feeling in my cheek so I knew the numbness was going away. I started to be able to move that side of my mouth again. Then I started to laugh about it too. It was really funny!

One day I couldn't talk. About a week ago I went to the dentist. I had to get a filling so they game me a numb shot. After the shot I couldn't eat, smile straight or talk straight, and I bit myself. People laughed at me and I was sad and mad at the same time.

Milly the China Dog
Winter, 1999
My mom got a new puppy for her birthday. The puppy was an English Bulldog. We named her Milly. Milly was just like any other puppy, wild and playful. Also just like other puppys, very funny.
Milly was so fighsty when we got her and she bit us when she was wild. She can be funny sometimes to. One thing that is funny is when she's on the couch and she drops her bone, she starts yelping for us to get it for her. There are a lot of other funny things that she does and I'll tell you about one next.
One day we came home and brought Milly inside. First she played, then ate, then played some more. Well, we were all watching TV and Milly went Nuts! We had no clue what was wrong. Then we noticed.
She had started digging down into the side of the couch. We didn't know what for. Then the cushion fell on top of her. She started barking like she was trapped. Of course nothing was wrong with her. She just thought that she was stuck. We still didn't know why she was digging down in the couch though.
We wondered why, but my mom thought we should see what's in the couch that Milly wants so I looked. I found her BONE! Now we knew why she was digging and every time she does that we say she's a little China dog digging to China to fine her bone.
