A Baseball Card Adventure written by |

The book Honus and Me is a fabulous story. I don't like baseball that much but, I loved this book. You'll even almost actually travel thought time if you read this great book. When you read this book you won't want to stop and do anything else except read, read, and read some more.
The setting in this book is in a number of places. But there are a couple of main settings in the story. One main setting is in Joe (Stosh) Stoshack's hometown at Amanda Young's house (next door to Stosh). The second setting is in 1909. That's ware he goes though time to.
Stosh (Joe) Stoshack is the main character. Stosh is a 7th grade boy that loves to collect baseball cards. He also loves to play and watch baseball.
In this story Stosh finds a Honus Wagner baseball card in Amanda Young's attack while he was cleaning it for her. Honus Wagner is a very expensive card and Stosh doesn't know what to do with the card.
I thought that Joe would give the card back to Amanda because it would be the right thing to do. Joe would do that also because he is a great kid that follows rules.
This is how Honus Wagner really gets involved in the story. Stosh has the card of Honus Wagner and wants to see him so he time travels back to 1909. When Honus Wagner was playing in the World Series.
In 1909 there is a lot of different things then they are now. Here are some examples; Almost everything was made out of wood, autographs were free, and there were no dugouts.
I think the author did an excellent job in writing this book. It wasn't just about baseball. It was about a boy's life, adventure, and excitement in the book. It also has great suspense. So have a wonderful time listening or reading this book: Honus & Me!
