Honus and Me
by Paul
The setting is in the baseball field most of the time. Sometimes its at Stoshes house too but when its in Mrs. Youngs it gets good.
Then Stosh goes to the baseball game al the kids call him names when hes at bat he collects cards and helps old ladys he can go it to the fencher.
One day Stoshs mom told him to clean Mrs. Youngs attic so he was cleaning it and some papers fell out of the bottom of a box he saw a card and picked it up off the gourd it was a Honus Wagner card.
A couple days later Stosh though he had a dream that Honus Wagner was at his house. The next day Stosh saw Honus again. Honus Wagner still thought it was 1909.
Stosh and Honus became friends and Stosh used the card to beam them back in time then Honus got hurt when he slid so Stosh went in for him as short stop. Stosh hit the ball down the third base line then Honus went back in for Stosh. Honus said your jobs over with but thanks for that.
I think the author did really good on the story. I doubt I could ever do that good.
About Honus and Me
by Kathy
It is placed in Louisville, Kentucky at the baseball field where Joe stuck out for the third time that game. His neighbor asked him to clean her attic.
He is nice he likes collecting baseball cards he likes baseball he just thinks he can't play because he doesn't play as well as others.
He found the card in Amanda Youngs attic she told him to throw the stuff away cause she didn't want it any more then he finds the card.
I predicted he would five the card back to her but he tried selling it first.
He goes to sleep and hears a noise and sakes up and there Honus Wagner sitting in Stoshes room.
It was a lot different then now. Things cost less and they dressed a lot different then now.
I think the author did a good job he put a lot of realistic things in the book like the baseball games and what they wore and how much things cost.
I hope you like this book.
Honus and Me

The setting is a lot of different places, a baseball field, at Manda Youngs house, Mrs. Stoshack's house, in 1909, and in the lockers, bleachers, 1909 baseball field. The bleachers were wooden not metal the ball park in 1909 is way way different than the one in 1990.
He's a baseball player. He collects baseball cards. On the baseball cards that cost the most he gets a tingling feeling. He's 12 or 13 years old. Hes parents are divorced.
His mom got him a job. It was $5.00 dollars to clean Ms. Young's attic. Then while he was lifting a box, the card with a lot of other stuff fell out the bottom.
I thought Stosh would pick every thing up. Then show the card to Ms. Young. Then I heard how much it's worth. I changed it to he'll stake the card and run.
He sticks the card under his pillow. He fell asleep with the card under his pillow. Then he wakes up and see's Honus sitting in the chair at his desk. Joe asked Honus lots of questions about him. Then he goes back to sleep.
Every thing is cheaper. There were small towns. They wore different clothes. It was a hole lot different then than it is now.
The author kept me in suspense. I liked the time travel. I hated when our teacher kept stopping. I liked the book a lot.
