Dear Mrs. Huffman,
My name is Grant. I have light brown hair, blue eyes, I am 5'4" and am very kind. I am daring and kind of funny. Once I did something that really hurt my face. Here is how it happened.
One day I was at my friend's house and I was riding a bike without a helmet. I was also going very fast and decided to be a dare devil and went into a large dip in the road. I went down too fast and went head first over the handle bars and slid 5' in loose gravel on my face. I broke out two teeth and chipped one of them. I was also unconscious for about 2 min. Then I had to go to the hospital.
At the hospital I had to lay down on a bed and the lady who was getting the rocks out of my face didn't numb my face
before she started to scrub my face with a hard bristle brush. She got the rocks out of my face and it took me about a month
to get better.
Sincerely,
Grant

"My Cat Tigger"
Winter, 1999
My cat (Tigger) was a very friendly and playful. Every day I would shake his cat dish and he would come running for the food. I loved Tigger. My family and I would call him Tigger 2 because my aunt also had a cat named Tigger. Now I will tell you about how I got my cat.
One day I was sitting on a chair in the airport (in California) waiting for my grandmother to get to the runway. She was living in Alaska so she had to fly down to visit my family. But little did I know she had brought a cat for me.
So, when she got there my mom and I went down to pick her up. But when I got down there I was in for a very, very, very "Big" surprise.
My Grandma gave me a box with air holes in it. I was personally hoping it was a cat, which it was. I asked how old it was and she said it was about one year old.
I had Tigger till he was about five years old and then . . . Tigger died. I am still sad about him dying but I guess I will just have to get used to him dying.
