When I went into the body exhibit it had a robot like body that showed every part of the human body. You could just press a button and the name of the button you pressed would be a body part and the part would light up. Plus it would rotate by a joystick so you could focus on one part or make the part face to your friend.

Altogether omsi was great.

On January 21 Peterson school went to Omsi . Omsi stands for Oregon museum of science and industry . It has a lot of things about science. This is my list of things I liked best about Omsi .

The best thing about OMSI was the Omnimax. It felt like you were in the volcano. Sometimes it made me sick when it was going over buildings in the movie . It was feelt weird when you got in there .

The second best thing about OMSI was the Burmese python. Just like my snake. His name was Buba. He was about 10 feet long.

The third best thing about OMSI is the earthquake room. The radio plays a little song then the radio goes dead house starts to shake.

There were some other things at omsi like the exhibit room with a big tank were you can create small boats . There is also a physics lab inside that is a metal ball and if you touch it then touch another person it will shock them with static . We got to see a lot of interesting things at omsi .

Petersen School went to OMSI yesterday, It was really fun. My favorite thing at OMSI was the computer lab, because you could do anything you wanted on it. The chairs were so comfortable .It was like you were sitting in a comfortable chair playing the computer.

There were lots of other cool things there too. Like the wheelchairs, you could find out what it would be like to be in a wheelchair all of the time. I thought it was really hard but also really fun.

Another cool thing at OMSI was the glass elevator it was about 6 ft. wide. And it was really neat how you could see all of the people down below. I thought it was really fun and hope I can go to OMSI again someday.

My school went to OMSI Jan.21,99 We had a lot of fun. The first thing we did was go to the Omnimax Theater. Then we went to the turbine room where they had a lot of activities like building boats that floated and building that could stand an earthquake. After that we went to a prehistoric room. A lady that worked there made me a raptor claw out of some kind of play-do.

I think the best thing at O.M.S.I was the Omnimax Theater. I liked it a lot. It looked like the hot lava and racks were flying toward us. It looked like they were going to hit us.

I think the next best thing at O.M.S.I was the turbine room.(I explained in the introduction). It was great. We got to run around with no I mean NO parent. I made boats and building that could stand strong winds and earthquakes.

The third best thing at OMSI was the health room. We got to go into a fake house full of tools that people in wheel chairs had to use. I learned a lot there and had a lot of fun at the same time.

My school had a lot of fun and we would all like to go again some time.

My Favorite Exhibits At OMSI

On Thursday, January 21, Petersen School took a field trip to OMSI in Portland Oregon. There were a lot of exhibits such as, a big Python named Bubba, the Omnimax Theatre, fossils, and quite a bit more. There were three things I liked the best though.

I thought the best thing at OMSI was the Omnimax Theatre because you had fun, it felt like you were in the movie, and you also learned at the same time.

The second best thing at OMSI was the the computer lab because I find computers really interesting, and I like surfing the net at my moms job, even though my computer at home isn't hooked to the internet yet.

The third best thing at OMSI was when we went to the fossil exhibit because I collect fossils and also it is kind of interesting to learn about something that you never even knew existed.

The best thing at OMSI was the Omnimax theater. I liked it because I learned a lot about the ring of fire. It was even better than a movie theater. It had some great pictures too. I am glad that I didn't get sick. I liked how they shot the pictures from an angle.

The second best thing at OMSI was when we got to go on to the computers. It was fun getting on the net and going onto web pages. I like their awesome new computers. I have never got to go on one till then. Erica and I went onto the class's web page. It was cool.

The third best thing at OMSI was when I went into the fossil room. It was fun looking at the fossils and learning about fossils. I made a velociraptor claw but on the way back to school my friend sat on it. Oh, well it was fun making it anyway.

Hi this is Peterson School we are back from OMSI and boy do we have a story for you. By the way we are gusts at OMSI.. My favorite thing at OMSI was the OMNIMAX .. It was showing "Ring of fire." Ring of fire is a big circle of volcanos around the pacific-ocean. It said that indonesia had lots of volcanos. The people ther get used to volcanos erupting. In Hawaii has a lava lake. It felt like you were going to fall.

Upstairs and in to the computer room you can strech the mona lisa in to different ways.

But there is one bad part about OMSI You have to leave sooner or later. There is so many other rooms, and places in OMSI why tell them to you when you can see for your self. I also liked the marbels where you throw them in the circle. If you go up stairs you will see the El Nino project.

What I Liked Best at O.M.S.I.

My class went to O.M.S.I. on Thursday, 1/21/99. We had lots of fun there and I'm going to tell you about the things I liked best there.

The 1st best thing at O.M.S.I. was the Omnimax. Some reasons why I liked it are because the movie, "The Ring of Fire", was something I wanted to see. The cameras did a lot of zooming which made the film life like. Plus, I didn't get sick watching it.

The 2nd best thing at O.M.S.I. was the turban room. It had lots of things to do, like experiments and games. It had lots of new things too, like new exhibits, and yo could run around without your parent.

The 3rd best thing at O.M.S.I. was the computer room. The computer were really high tech and the they had cool games too. On these computers, you could go to any sight you wanted, and I got to play on the computers until we left the computer room.

Those are the things I liked best at O.M.S.I. and we had fun there too.

Here is what I think is what I liked the best.

I liked when we got to rom around down stairs and up stairs. I thought the wheel chairs were cool. And the big snake was everybody's favorite because we got to touch it and there were hairless mice and rock fish.

I liked patting the snake too and the ring of fire was good. but the funniest thing was rooming around and eating in the lunch.

When we played on the elevator we were scrunched. We had a good time.

But beast of all was when we were going home. When we were on the bus we were playing games .Then we went home and i hade to tell my mom and dad what we did at the field trip at OMSI.

The coolest part about our trip to O.M.S.I. was the movie "Ring of Fire." It was cool cause when you looked at the bottom right in the middle you were looking straight down.

My second favorite part was petting "Bubba the Boa." He was stickyish and slymiesh. And he was HUGE! It was awesome.

The third best thing was playing on the computer. I was smearing Mona Lisa. I turned her into a devil with a dolphin's nose. I told my mom we should get that game.

I had lots of fun I hope I can go again.

My paper is about OMSI. I am going to list three things about OMSI that I liked and three reasons why I liked that place.

The first thing I liked about OMSI was the Omnimax Theater. It was neat to get to sit back and just watch the movie, but at times it was scary, especially when it looked like you were going to fall out of your seat. They made it very realistic more then a normal theater. You were able to see what they were showing. I learned about the ring of fire.

The second thing I liked about OMSI was the last exhibit called the brain teaser exhibit. The brain teaser games I played were hard to figure out. The games were difficult but interesting. They were also exciting. They were different from the games I usually play.

The third thing I liked about OMSI was the earth science exhibit. They had a lot of fun and interesting exhibits. You got to feel an earthquake. You got to touch the fossils and see what they felt like. They also had a weather exhibit that told about El Nino.

Those are three of the things that I liked about OMSI I hope you find some things you like too.

The thing that I liked the most is the computer because we went on the Internet and me and Brittany went on Nikelodeon. We learned more about skills and how we learned more about dil.

And the movie that we saw was so cool that it kinda of made me sick but after that we got used to it .It was moving right next to you just like lava. And right in front of you. And right in front of your face. Then all of the scientific stuff they had there was cool.

Petersen School went to OMSI 1-21-99 (Thursday). One of the classes was Mrs. Huffman's 6^th grade class. Hi my name is Rachel and I am going to tell you my 3 favorite things at OMSI.

My number one choice was Bubba a python (snake). He was so big and neat. He was a black and brown colored snake. Bubba also had spots but they weren't real noticable like a dalmation. The Bottom of him was like an off white color. He was really long I'm not sure how long though. I liked him a lot.

My second favorite thing was the computer lab. There were a lot of computers there. I bet there was about 20 to 30 computers. There wasn't enough so I had to share with my friend Kayla. Kayla and I were playing games and we played the Oregon Trail. My other friend Kayla had the same game. I had played it at her house before, so I knew how to play at OMSI.

My third favorite thing at OMSI was the verclaseraptor claw. My friend and I were walking around and we saw every one carrying a claw. Then we saw our other firends with one and they told us where there at. So after we found out where they were we went over to the lady and got one. The lady there made them put of dough. It was pretty neat !!!

I like going to OMSI cause it has lots of thing to look at and these are some of my favorite. I like the computers best. Cause it had the Oregon trail. It had the internet and you could go to web sites. Then I liked the Movie or the sky dome. Cause it looked like you were there. Then I liked the mind teasers. Last I liked was the cave. Cause it had lava in it. Then it felt like rock.
