Dear Mrs. Huffman,

Hi my name is ACE. Yes, you heard me right, Ace. You probably think my name is strange, and you also will notice I smile a lot. But......... I have a fake smile.

It all started at a simple day at Grandma's house. My cousin Jarmmy came up (who is 4 years older then me).

My grandpa stored an old bike in his garage. We were flying down a hill and we almost crashed into an electric fence.

The next day I got the old bike myself. The first time I drove the bike I crashed into a barbed wire fence. Then I wiped out at the bottom of the hill.

You may think I would learn my lesson, but I tried again. I pulled the bike up the hill for the third time. I went down the hill full blast -- past my first crash -- past my second crash. Then I noticed I couldn't stop!

Up ahead I saw a lot of overgrown grass. I thought the grass could slow down my bike. When I hit the grass it got caught in the tire. I hit my head against the handle bar. It knocked me out....for a while.

When I woke up I yelled for help. Then a man came and picked me up and took me back home. That is where I found three of my teeth were broken.

My Dog
Winter, 1999

Hello, I'm Ace and Sparky's my dog. He is a begal. I got him for my birthday. He was my favorite dog.

When I went to feed him. I would say wait then I would run inside the house and look at him. He would just sit and watch him then I would say OK and he would gobble it down in a couple seconds. Several other times I would test his patience but I would always let him eat in at least two or three minutes.

One summer day we were feeding him cherrys and he ran into some trees well we put the cherries anyway and we were about ready to go play when my dad says "I ran over Sparky." I thought he was making a joke but he was not! Then he told me how it happened. What happend was that my dad was pulling a car across are field. Well Sparky got under the car and he was killed.

P.S. I got another dog.
