At the end of world war nobody thought we would have to fight another war. By 1939 what they thought was wrong.

The Germans were in debt so they listened to anybody one voice spoke up, Adolph Hitler. Hitler said, "It's not our fault the Jews treated us," so the Germans killed almost every Jewish person.

In 1936 Hitler and Mussolini signed a treaty called the Axis pact. The Axis pact said that the countries would protect each other from a military attack by another country.

On September 9, 1939, Germany attacked Poland. France and England signed a treaty with Poland to protect each other from other countries.

America did not approve the Axis' attacking other countries especially Japan over Asia. The United States warned Japan but Japan did not listen. The United States cut off all trade with Japan. Japan felt like America was bullying them so they decided to strike back on America. On December 7, 1941, Japan bombed a naval base, Pearl Harbor, a day after America declared war on Japan.

People from America that were Japanese were put in training camps because they were considered a threat to the country.

World War II

Hi I'm Brock, and I'm going to tell you about Adolf Hitler, D-day, and the Atomic bomb. Adolf Hitler ruled Germany as dictator from 1933-1945. He turned Germany into a war machine and provoked World War II. Hitler spread death as no person has done in modem times. "Have no pity," he told his soldiers. He ordered tens of thousands of those who opposed him to be executed.

Hitler persecuted the Jews. He ordered them to be killed or removed in the countries he ruled. He also set up concentration camps where about 4 million Jewish men, women, children were killed. He killed about 6 million European Jews were executed. Adolf Hitler began his rise to political power in 1919, the year after World War 1 had ended. Hitler joined a group of men called the Nazis, soon after he became the leader.

The Germans expected an allied invasion along the north coast of France, in 1944. But they were not sure where? Fortifications, in which the Germans called the Atlantic wall, ran along the coast. Hitler placed Rommel in charge of the English channel, and the Germans straight of the defenses. He brought artillery, mined the beaches, and water, and strung up the barbwire. But the Allies planed to land farther west, in the northern region of France called "Normandy," or D-day.

During World War II, on Aug 6, 1945, a United States army plane dropped a single atomic bomb on the center of a city. Three days later, the allies dropped a second atomic bomb on the city of Nagasaki. Japan surrendered to allied forces on Sept. 2,1945. The atomic bomb destroyed about 5 sq miles of the city, 70,000-100,000 people died from the actual bomb and others died of the after affects of the radiation. That was my essay on WWII.

ABOUT WORLD WAR II

Hi I am Tanya and I will be telling you about Adolf Hitler, the Jews, and Benito Mussolini.

Adolf Hitler was one of the greatest axis power leader there ever was. He blamed all of the things that went wrong on the Americans, instead of the Germans.

Adolf Hitler put the Jews in the middle of everything. The Jews were killed for no reason. Hitler had the Germans kill the Jews, and had tricked them (the Germans) saying the Jews were in on everything as well. The Jews had to get out of Germany but couldn't.

Benito Mussolini was also an axis power leader. He started helping Adolf Hitler. Benito Mussolini was only in it so he could help rule Germany.

That's my essay on Adolf Hitler, the Jews, and Benito Mussolini. What did you learn? I hope you learned something.

World War II

Hi I'm Spencer and this essay I wrote is about World War II. I'm going to tell you about three major things about the war, the three things are how the war started, how America got into the war, and how the war ended.

The first one I'm going to talk about is how the war started. Part of the war was started by the Germans, beaten in World War I they would listen to anyone who would them with there problems. A person named Adolf Hitler said to Germany that they were not beat by the outside countries but from inside traitors. Hitler later on blamed the jews for being the traitors which wasn't true but some of the Germans thought he was right and so he got more power and became the dictator for Germany. He started sending jews to concentration camps where most were killed. Then Germany attacked Poland who was allied with England and France so England and France went to war against Germany with Poland. Italy and Japan teamed up with Germany and were called the Axis. The leader of Japan was Hideki Tojo and the leader of Italy was Benito Mussolini. The Axis started attacking countries around them and so the three countries started the war.

When Japan started taking over Asia, America warned them to stop. The USA stop trade with Japan so Japan wasn't getting any oil. Japan bombed Pearl Harbor on December 7,1941. After that we went to war with against Japan and then a few days later America went to war against Germany and Italy. That's how America got into the war.

The allies which mainly was the USA, France, England, Soviet Union, and Poland started to invade territories held by Italy and Germany. Finally in 1943 the Italians surrendered. The Allies surrounded Germany on the west and east and charged into Germany. In May 1945, Germany surrendered and around that time Hitler suicided. The war with Japan wasn't over and so president Harry S. Truman had to make a choice. His choices were to bomb Japan with a atomic bomb or to bomb Japan. Harry S. Truman made the choice to bomb Japan. Harry S. Truman bomb Japan twice before the Japanese surrendered. The war was over.

I hope you liked my essay on WWII. It was kind of weird how the war started and how the war finally ended. If you need more information you can check on the internet or check in your local library.

World War 2

I will tell you about World War 2 and The Great Depression. The woman working like men. The Great Depression was in the 1930's that began the World War 2 came in.

Hitler was in Germany to be a dictator in the war. He said the Jews didn't it all so he put the Jews in camps in different places of the world. Over 40,000 people died in the war.

The women are working like men in factory like men. So the women stay working in factory. They are solider's with out guns to be safe in the war.

World War 2 was a hard on the soliders in the war. I like to learn about it so I write about it and I hope you like it.

World War II

W.W.II was a long, hard war that was full of hardships. The Allied forces lost a total of 44 million military and civilian lives. The war spanned from 1939-1945, the U.S. officially entered the war in 1941 after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

The Axis was governed by three leaders. Benito Mussolini was the leader of Italy, he became the leader because Italians would listen to anyone who claimed to have all the answers. Hideki Tojo was the leader of Japan and joined the Axis last. Finally there's Adolf Hitler, the most evil, sickening, and wrong human being that ever walked the planet. He was the leader of the Nazi Party, the most powerful party in Germany. Hitler also ruled Germany and started the Axis.

On December 7, 1941, Japanese planes bombed Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, thousands were lost. The next day the U.S. officially entered the war, the U.S. sided with the Allies.

In the summer of 1945, President Truman was faced with a decision, that year the U.S. invented the atomic bomb. Should have Pres. Truman used the bomb? Well, he did. A U.S. plane dropped leaflets over and on the city Hiroshima, Japan saying to evacuate or be bombed, they stood their ground. August 6, 1945 Hiroshima was bombed, 78,000 died. Next, a U.S. plane dropped leaflets on the city of Nagasaki, Japan, and again they stood their ground. August 9, 1945 the city of Nagasaki was bombed, 40,000 died. The next day Japan asked for peace talks, August 14, 1945 Japan surrendered. W.W.II was over.

W.W.II was a harsh war, many died. There hasn't been another world war since, and hopefully there won't be another.

Jobs for Women

Before the war women did not have many jobs. Then when World War 2 started women were able to work because men were in battle so women were able to get jobs and actually help the war effort. Women were called Soldiers Without Guns.

Woman had jobs like cooks, nurses, taxicab drivers, office managers, clerks, mechanics, barbers, meat packers, crane operator, and police officers. Almost no jobs were for men only.

Kids also helped by recycling newspapers or cans mostly anything that could be recycled. That helped to make more supplies for the soldiers. Kids (just like women) helped the war effort.

After the war when the men started coming back women had to give up their jobs. Some women didn't mind but a lot of them did. So there was a war between men and women, but kids were able to keep on recycling.

In conclusion kids and women helped win the war and be a part of the war. Soon women were able to keep their jobs.

The Great World War II

Hi I'm David and I am going to tell you about World War 2. It was 1939 when World War 2 started. The Germans were going through the depression so they asked someone to stand up for them and be their leader, one man did he was Adolf Hitler.

Hitler was greedy, he wanted more power so he became a dictator, a dictator is a person who has complete control over a country. Hitler wanted to kill all the Jews in the world so he began capturing them and sending them to concentration camps.

Starting December 7, 1941 was when the real war started to me at least because that's the day Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. So on December 8, 1941 the United States and Britain declared war on Japan. Then Germany declared war on the United States of America three days later.

And of course on December 19, 1941 Hitler decided to take complete command over the German armies.

During 1945 we were putting an end to all the horrible people in World War 2. On April 30, 1945 Adolf Hitler committed suicide. An unconditional surrender from the German forces to the allies took place on May 7, 1945. On May 8, 1945 it was V-E ( victory in Europe Day). And Hermann Goring was captured by members of the U.S. 7th Army on May 9, 1945. On May 23, 1945 S.S. Reichsfuhrer Himmler committed suicide, and German High Command and Provisional Government were imprisoned that same day. And on August 9 the U.S. dropped an atomic bomb on Nagasaki, Japan. So five days later Japanese agreed to unconditional surrender. Then on September 2, 1945 the Japanese signed the surrender agreement. Finally on October 16, 1946 Hermann Goring committed suicide two hours before his scheduled execution.

Well the war was over and we won, but most important Britain and the U.S. got what they wanted revenge on Japan.

THREE VERY DIFFERENT GROUPS

Boom, tanks, people, and bombs line up we're now in World War 2. There was not just a good and a bad side fighting, no, there were three different groups they were the Allies, Axis Powers, and some neutral nations. I will tell you about all three groups in this story.

First I'll tell you about the allies. The allies were a group of parts of countries or whole countries that tried to stop the axis powers from taking over the world. Allies got along with most countries.

Next I'll tell you about the axis powers. The axis powers were three countries (that weren't allies) Japan, Germany, and Italy that wanted to take over places. The axis powers each had a dictator (or one ruler or leader) of each country. For Japan there was Hideki Tojo. For Italy Benito Mussolini. And for Germany there was Adolf Hitler.

Now I will tell you about the neutral countries. The neutral group was countries or parts of them that just didn't want to or didn't have the power to fight, places like these got taken over by the Axis Powers.

So now you know about the three very different groups. The Axis Powers, Allies, and people who were Neutral. Did you know about them before?

AXIS POWERS IN WWII

By:Nathan

The Germans, Italians, and Japanese signed something called the Axis pact. It was an agreement to help each other in the event of a war.

The Germans were lead by the Nazi party. Adolf Hitler was the leader of the Nazi party, so Hitler was the leader, or dictator of Germany. A dictator is a person in complete control of a country. Usually a dictator stays a dictator all his life. He had power, but he wanted more.

The Italians and the Germans controlled most of Europe by 1939. Italy was lead by Benito Mussolini. Hitler and Mussolini were the first to sign the Axis pact.

The Japanese were the last to sign the Axis pact. Their leader was Hideki Tojo. The conquered most of the pacific islands by 1941. The Americans did not get involved in the war until 1941, when Pearl harbor was attacked by Japanese bombers. America immediately took action. The West coast took action by building warships since most of our naval force was taken out by the Japanese.

America defeated Japan by Truman's decision to drop the atomic bombs on Hiroshima, and Nagasaki. Before Germany surrendered, Hitler committed suicide. The war ended in 1945.

Battles

Have you ever wondered about some major battles in World War II? I`m going to tell you about 3 battles, Pearl Harbor (1941), Battle of Midway (1942), and Nagasaki and Hiroshima (1945).

December 7, 1941, the USS Arizona was docked at Pearl Harbor when a Japanese plane bombed. Hundreds died. The next day (Dec.8) America declared war on Japan. That is when the U.S. entered World War II.

In June 1942 America fought Japan for the Midway Islands. It was successful for the U.S. Japan lost 4 aircraft carriers, 322 planes, a cruiser, and around 3,000 men.

On August 6,1945 America dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. Then on August 9 we dropped another bomb on Nagasaki. They had warning of a secret weapon, yet Japan did not surrender. Around 118,000 people died (when added together) in both explosions. After the explosions, Japan surrendered and World War II ended.

Those are some of the many battles in World War II.. From Pearl Harbor through the atomic bomb, the U.S.A. survived World War II.

WORLD WAR II Axis Pact Leaders

Small, but mighty, is what the countries of Germany, Japan, and Italy, also known as the Axis Pact, were in the beginning of World War II. For each country there was a dictator. The dictator for Germany was Adolf Hitler, for Japan was Hideki Tojo, and for Italy was Benito Mussolini. The Axis Pact was not for us, they were against us. At first they were known as the Axis Pact but later they became known as the League of all Nations.

The first guy I will talk about is Hitler. Hitler was born in 1889 and died in 1945. Adolf grew up in Branaru, Austria and about 12 years after he was born they moved to a small town in Germany. In 1933 Hitler told a bad lie just so he could be a leader. He was so good at that lie, no one found out he lied until most of the Jews had been killed. His lie was that the reason Germany had been put down was because of the Jews. So as soon as he got everyone to believe him he started shutting out the Jews and at the same time he got the power of dictator. With his great power of being a dictator he got cocky and thought he could take or beat anything that was thrown at him. But after he tried to defeat a few of the small countries he realized he needed to be bigger and stronger. So finally he found somebody to hook up with and sign a treaty with to other countries, Japan and Italy. Now I will tell you about them.

Now I will tell you about the leader of Italy, Benito Mussolini. Mussolini was born in 1883 and died in 1945. He was raised in Dovia, Italy. At the age of 18 he was qualified to be a teacher for a school, but soon he got into politics. During that time he met a women named Rachele Guidi, and later they got married and had 5 children! Then in 1936 he signed a treaty with Hitler saying that if one of the two countries should be attacked they both would go into war together and fight as a pack and help protect one another. Now I tell you about the last member of the Axis Pact.

Last but not least is the dictator of Japan, Hideki Tojo. Tojo was born in Japan also raised in it. In his early teen years he tried to attempt suicide, but his attempt had failed. After his attempt Tojo got special help and was in the hospital for many weeks with the aid of many trained professionals rethought him how to behave and act. They treated him basically like he was a baby learning how to do all the basics. After his help he became a war minister. That is how he met up with Hitler and Mussolini. Even though the three of them had control over three countries they wanted to have more land outside their boundaries. During the 1930's Japan invaded Manchuria, the Italians conquered Ethiopia and Albania, and the Germans took over Asteria and Czechoslovakia. But then the U.S. And many other countries (known as the allies) joined to try distinguish the Axis Pact.

And well that leads into a whole different story, but luckily we eventually won. World War II was a very tragic and sad time for everyone. Hopefully we don`t go into another war because then we would not be very good.
