HOLES

I'm doing a report on the book Holes by Louis Sachar. Some of you may have read it and some of you may have not, but I'm going to still tell you about it any ways.

Well it's about this boy named Stanley Yelnats, and how he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and how he got punished. Well it all starts when he accidently gets these shoes that fall from under the bridge that he was walking under. It turns out that those shoes were Clyde Livingstons, a famous baseball player. The shoes were stolen from a homeless shelter, where the shoes had been donated. They found Stanley with them and arrested him. He then had the choice to either go to jail or go to camp Green Lake. Coming from a poor family he chooses camp Green Lake, thinking it's a real lake. But really you had to dig holes five feet deep and five feet wide. The lake was all dried up.

Stanley ends up meeting a new friend witch everybody calls him Zero. They both go off on an adventure with no water! How will they ever survive!?!?! Well here's how to find out! READ THE BOOK!!!!

If I had to rate the book out of ten, I would rate it a 12. It's a great adventure story. I picked this book because I thought it was one of the best books I've ever read. So far I've read it 3 times! It also has some romance and humor too! Well I think you should go and read it. If it doesn't sound interesting to you, another good book is Bud Not Buddy. Well, I should go! Don't want to waste your time! Your going to need lots of quite time to read both these books!

Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing

Nooo! This is all fourth grader Peter Hatcher can say to his younger brother Farley Drexel Hatcher, that in the story they call Fudge. This is about all the problems Fudge causes throughout the story. I will tell you just a couple of the main problems, but I am warning you if you read this book be ready to die of laughter.

In the second chapter Mr. Hatcher is next to the head of Juicy-O (a tropical fruit drink). Mr. and Mrs. Yarby are coming to New York for some business and Mr. Hatcher invites them to stay at their house. At the start everything is going good, but at dinner well that's a different story, well when Fudge is suppose to be asleep, he comes out the first time with my old gorilla mask that I wore last Halloween and as soon as Mrs. Yarby seen him she about wetted in her pants. Then about a hour later he comes out with my pet(Dribble) and it just so happens Mrs. Yarby is afraid of reptiles and I think that broke the last straw! Mr. and Mrs. Yarby told my dad they would be gone for a hotel by noon tomorrow. About at 5:00 in the morning I was woke up by Fudge stuffing crayons up nose, I told him to go back to bed but of corse he didn't he went storming off. So later when everyone had woke up they just thought Fudge was still asleep, but they were wrong. When the Yarby's went to get their bags Fudge was sitting on their luggage that he had covered with stamps. And as they walked in he licked the last one and stuck it on.

Think about that, if you think that was bad wait for the other part of the story. That was only a couple of things that happens and that's only one chapter. And the final problem is that it is over. But the benefit of it being over is you can read the other books she wrote. I will tell you some of the funniest ones, Superfudge, Fudge-a-mania, and Otherwise Known as Sheila. I have read all of these but there are many more so get out and read them.

Against All Odds!

Against All Odds is about the Mormon pioneers who crossed the great plains in wagons. There are lots of stories in the book. They are short but there are 11 of them. Including Strange Bedfellows, Buffalo Tag, Bloody Finger, Savage Samaritan, Iron Lady, Horse Raid, The Broken Man, Hostage Baby, Killer In The Hen House, Don't Judge A Horse By Its Hide, and She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not.

The genre of the story is non-fiction. The story is true but the characters are different people in real life. I picked this book because it looked like a good book, and because somebody that I know told me about it.

I don't know about you, but my favorite story in the book is probably Strange Bedfellow. I will tell you a little about it if you haven't read it yet.

The pioneers have not reached Utah yet. The pioneers just settled in for winter at the winter quarters. They built their homes in a dug out.

One of the families built their home on a snake pit on accident. It wasn't just a snake pit it was a rattle snake pit. When the winter goes away the snakes come out. the family kills al the snakes and give them to the Indians.

You need to read this book if you want to know what the other 10 stories are about.

Book Report

By Haily H.

My favorite book is called The Great Green Book of Katie Roberts. This book is a fiction book. The three main characters are Katie, her mom, and Lucy. Lucy is Katie's best friend. Most of this book is about Katie and what happens in her life. The reason I like this book is because it is really funny and interesting. When I first started to read I hated it but now I love it a lot. This book is written by Amy Heat and is illustrated by Sonja Gamut. This book is a very good book and I love it.

Point Blank

I read a really good book lately it's title is Point Blank. It is the sequel to Storm Breaker. Storm Breaker was really good so that was the reason why I read Point Blank.

This story is about a boy named Alex who is a secret agent and works for M16 in England. He goes to a bordering school high in the Alps of France to solve a mystery of two assassinated people.

I won't tell you the whole story or you won't read it. This book has a ending that I never read in a book before. Once you read the ending you will really want to read the next book if there is one.

I think the author did a great job of catching readers attention and leaving them at some parts so that you want to read on and on til you finish the book. This book is modern realistic fiction and I liked it very much, I hope you like it too.

Scooby Doo the Movie

Hi my name is Brandon and I have just read a fantastic book called Scooby Doo the Movie and it was great. The characters were Shaggy, Scooby , Velma , Fred and Daffne. All of them had special abilities. Shaggy and Scooby were the dumb and lucky ones. Velma was the smart one, Fred took all the credit for a mystery and Daffne always got caught.

A mystery made the group break up and never speak to each other again except for Shag and Scoob but they feel lonely without their friends and they wish they were back together.

Later in the book they all meet up at a plane station to go to a creepy amusement park . But they didn't plan on going together and when they got there everybody were like zombies and now they have to solve the case together as a group.

FIND OUT THE REST BY CHECKING OUT THE MOVIE OR THE BOOK.
