World War II

The world war was a big war. I am going to tell you how it happened, how we entered, and what we did to help win.

Hitler wanted to take over land outside his boundaries to become stronger. In 1930 Japan invaded Manchuria. It's part of northern China. Then in September, 1939, Germany attacked Poland, but then France and England declared war on Germany.

Then we entered. First we ended all trade with Japan. That made them mad. On December 7, 1941, Japanese planes bombed Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. Then the next day we declared war on Japan. Then because Germany and Italy were helping Japan in the war they declared war on us.

Many women helped build stuff like tanks and planes. The United States joined with many other states to be safe. Then the United States attacked all the major companies to stop their making of stuff. Then Germany surrendered to the States from lack of money and weapons.
