Soldiers Without Guns

Farmers and factory workers. Farmers grew crops to feed the armed forces. So they could eat healthy food, and so they won't starve to death. Factory workers made clothes and equipment for soldiers. Many people helped the armed forces.

How women helped. Over 200,000 women joined the armed forces during World War II. Mny kids 18 and above went to war. Many people were dead. Many women were stationed in different places in the world, like United States, Africa, Europe, and the Pacific Islands.

Paper and scrap metal drives. Every kid tried to buy a savings stamp. To help pay for the war. Every week they bought one. Every family who lived in an apartment was assigned a plot alongside the railroad tracks. They grew corn, tomatoes, beans, and other vegies in the city. Sugars and lots of other foods were rationed. A kid for Christmas got a banana in his/her stocking. Bananas were hard to get.

I think when they are going to war on a ship. They should go off in two rows! One row should get bullets the other row gets bullets and a gun. So if a person only has bullets they should find a person who is dead, and take their gun.

I hope people who go to war will defeat what they want and get it over with. I never want to go to war.
