World War II

World War II started when Mussolini and Hitler signed a axis pact. Because they were allies, they decided to invade countries and take them over.
France surrendered to Germany and that's when allied forces landed in France and fought Germany. In December 1941 Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. The next day the United States entered the war. President Roosevelt made 112,000 Japanese Americans had to move from the West coast.
Hitler blamed the Jews as spies from World War I, and that's what the people of Germany believed. So Hitler would kill Jews, men, women, and children. He would put them in camps. Sometimes he would say, "Come take a shower." So they would but water didn't come out, acid did. Hitler would even burn Jews. All this was called Holocaust.
Our allies were a lot of countries but the main three were Canada, England, and the Soviet Union.
