Blacks Mistreated In South
by Karissa, A-6 News
January, "1963"

Today blacks were protesting in the South. Policemen came out with hoses, German Shepard dogs, and guns with rubber bullets. People were trying to get away from them. Today blacks are being treated unfairly. They can't drink out of the same fountains. They can't ride in the front of the bus if a white person wants the seat. They have to seat in the back.

Dr. Martin Luther King is trying to help the blacks all that he can. They have protests, sit ins, and boycotts. We need to help them to. We need to stand up for freedom and what is right.
