Penny's Page
Hi my name is Penny. I was born in St. Helens and for the first six years of my life I lived in Scappoose, and for the other six St. Helens. St. Helens is my favorite place to be in the State of Oregon.
My favorite thing to do is hang out with my friends or ride my bike. Well that was until I moved to Scappoose for three months. In St. Helens is where all my friends live and where we hang out. I won't be able to do that any more.
The reason I can't do that any more is one day my family started to talk about moving to Louisiana or Arkansas, six and seven states away from friends and family. The next day I came home from school and I walked in the house and I saw the living room packed to the ceiling. Then I went to the kitchen and saw my sister Melissa crying, I asked her what's wrong? So my mom said we're moving! That was the worst day of my life.
The week after that my family started packing right away that is what I hated. I had just got my room organized and I had to mess everything up again because my parents wanted to move.
The first two months of packing and telling friends about me moving was very hard for me, my friends, and family. My Mom, Step Dad, sister Lissy, sister Mae, and Mae's husband, we all were both stressed and excited. All of this was really hard for everyone. My parents came up with a plane and left my sister Lissy and I here with friends and family.
So my Mom left me with her friend and my sister stayed with her friends. The reason we stayed with different people instead of going with our parents is because my parents wanted to get a house, jobs, and get settled in Louisiana.
