The setting is in California during the Depression. And Robin's family have to move again so her dad can get a job. That's when she found The Las Palmaras House. And when she made a friend or two.
The climax is when Bridget gives her a key to the house and she finds the Velvet Room and reads a diary that belonged to Bridget whose full name was Bonita Bridget Mairdy.
The problems got solved by Bridget confessing and Robin saved the Las Palmeras house that eventually turned into a museum.
I thought this book was a good adventurous book. The author did a great job and I loved it.
