My November Book Report:

Dear Mr. Henshaw, book report by Ryan

Hi, I'm going to tell you about the book I read. The name of it is Dear Mr. Henshaw. I'm going to talk about Leigh Botts, his family, and the lunch box thief. Also the story takes place in modern day.

Leigh Botts was a kid. He wanted to become a writer. His favorite author was Dear Mr. Henshaw. He really liked the story "A way to Amuse Dogs." He wrote a story on Mr. Henshaw but Mr. Henshaw wouldn't answer his ten questions. Leigh got mad but then he finally answered his ten questions. Then he had to answer then questions from Mr. Henshaw. Also he wished his dad and his mom would get back together. He wished that his dad would come and pick him up and take him to school.

Now I'm going to talk to you about Leigh's family. His mom, dad, and dog. His parents split up and his dad took the dog. His dad is a truck driver and likes someone with him so he took the dog. His mom goes to work early in the morning and gets back not to late. He wishes they would get back together.

Last but not least I'm going to talk to you about the lunchbox thief. Leigh would always be missing some desserts in his lunch. After all it was the janitor. He saw the desserts and couldn't help it. So he took them.

I enjoyed this book because there was some things you wouldn't expect. I hoped you liked my S. A. on my book. I've told you about the boy, his family, and the lunchbox thief.

Ryan
