Dragonwings, book report by George
Dragonwings was a great book. It was not very easy but I read it just fine.
Dragonwings is about a boy who has never met his father. The boy's name is Moon Shadow. He is 8 years old but in China he is 9 years old. That makes him old enough to fly a kite. Moon Shadow sails from China when he is 8 to see his father in San Francisco. His father's name is Wind Rider.
At first Moon Shadow does not have respect for his father because he doesn't really know him and Moon Shadow's father is a laundry worker. There are lots of people who betray the Tang people in China Town.
Black Dog, one of Windrider's best friends, started taking opium a drug. Balck Dog finally gets killed because he was stabbed in the back with a sword.
Windrider's dream was to make an airplane. He did but when he flew it he injured himself.
If you want to find out the ending read Dragonwings. I thought this was a great book and if you like action you should read this book.
