New Providence

I studied the 3rd corner of each of the posters I took study on the city's people, fashion, buildings, signs, graffiti, action, the little things of the city of New Providence.

I noticed that from the earlier years allot of kids played very old games that go all the way back such as the stick and ring game, tag [chase], etc. Everyone wore black and deep dark colors in clothes.

The buildings study went from almost no buildings to malls. I noticed that from every poster except 1875 had the Tenebo Court House. They had different little street shops every year in the city. They had little hardware shops to insurance companies and real-estate buildings. They always had a bank. In 1875 it began with dirt roads and went to gravel roads to asphalt to even sidewalks. When they got to the later years like 1970,1980,&1990 the new thing was having a big sit down park with benches, flower beds,&street lights. It was mainly an area to sit down read a book &relax place. In the Great Depression years like 1935 there was violence, graffiti, and sabotaged street lights and benches. People wore black and faded clothes during this time. There was allot of destruction like burnt down buildings and things on fire.

The parks had tall medium sized trees with thick leaves. I saw a bunch of hedges and bushes too.

So that concludes the most part of my study on New Providence through the seven years.
