Providence

In each picture I looked at the far left and I payed attention to some three-story buildings, (that are side-by-side), and the businesses that were in them during the years of the pictures.

I noticed that in a lot of the pictures there was a store called Gilman's, which sold ice cream, soda, magazines, and newspapers. The building that had this store was mostly light-colored.

In some of the other buildings, there were various stores such as cafes, restaurants, pharmacies, boutiques, drugstores, supermarkets, and even a computer store. There were also going out of business signs in the windows in the 1980 picture. These buildings were usually darker colors.

Peoples' clothing also changed a lot during these times; in some pictures the majority of people were wearing dark-colored clothes, in others they were wearing lighter and brighter clothes and buildings were brighter, then the majority of people went back to darker clothes and building colors.

When the buildings were light, there was a picture painted on the wall that had a sign which said Reyenold's Fleming Day School, Have a nice day! It had a cloud, rainbow, and flowers.

In the future, I think that this city will have more modern and high-tech (computer, video game, phone, ect.) Stores. There will probably be all-cement/all-pavement roads, unlike most of the pictures had. Also, there will probably be more cars (that have a modern style) with brighter colors. The clothes and building will probably start having brighter colors than before, (again). There will probably be pay phones, too. I think that the future of Providence will be much better.
