In 1875, it was very different from 1910. There were dirt roads, much more farmland, there was no clock that was on the street, old bicycles, there was a book store but it wasn't there in 1910 because they tore it down, there wasn't a fountain because it wasn't built yet, and there was a real estate building that isn't there in 1910.
In 1910, it was different because the roads were paved, actually it was paved with bricks, and there was a factory that wasn't there in 1875 but is now. They had trolleys and Rolls Royce's, and cable cars for transportation. Model T's and model A's were also popular in this era. Some people depended on horse-drawn carriages for transportation. Others might have walked to wherever they were going. The water tower is there now, but wasn't there in 1875. The fountain is there now and so are trees and shrubs. Everyone is in black for some reason that I don't know of. There are telephone poles and wires. There is a little less farmland than in 1875 but there is some left.
In 1935, it is the middle of the great depression. There is a clock, but its different than in 1910. There is a Coca-Cola sign on a building. There is a biplane and some people are wrecking a building. There are a lot of statues and a lot of burning barrels. There is a hardware store and a dance studio just around the corner. Its misty weather and if you look hard enough at the poster, there is a blimp. The Western Central Building is in the right section of the poster. There is a line at the post office for some unknown reason. The factory building is there and it's in the process of working. The water tower is still there, although it looks like its been moved. There are a lot of bum's on the street.
In 1955, the clock tower is on fire. There is a fire truck right there trying to put out the fire. It is snowy out and it looks like it is X-mas time because there are a lot of lights and Christmas trees out. The Coca-Cola sign has been replaced with a smoking sign. There is a new building and it is called "Wangs Chinese Laundry." The road is paved in asphalt and there is a car garage. The Monarch building is there also there. There are a lot of houses. The water tower is STILL there. So is the post office. City hall got a new entrance. The hardware store has gotten some more business. And for this time period, it looks pretty good.
In 1970, it is the time of the Vietnam War. There is a protest and a lot of graffiti on the sidewalks. There is a beer sign on the Getz & McClure building. The smoking sign is still there. The Beatles are playing a concert at the theatre. There is a sign that says "Save the Flemming House." There are some new wave art sculptures. The megaphone looks as if has just been built. There is a riot and also a holdup. There is also a mugging happening. The water tower is STILL there. There is a road block because there is some construction going on. Coca-Cola sign is gone. The factory is for rent. There is a new building called Barry's Shoes. And it's their first anniversary.
It's 1980. There is litter on the ground. The fountain has been there for 10 years and its looking a little cluttered. There is a building being built on the corner. The Monarch Insurance Building is still in the same place. The background didn't look too shabby for housing and maybe some farming. The cars look like Fords. There isn't a mall. The megaphone is still there and there are some company vans driving around, doing erans. The county court is still there and the Coca-Cola sign is back. There are paved roads with three lanes. Not too many people around, but there is some greenery. Lots of graffiti. The trolley is gone and there is a crane.
Time to go 90's style. There are taxi's and a gazebo. There is a boat race in the fountain, oh, and by the way, the fountain is looking a lot better. There is a green house and paved roads. There are town and school buses. There is a clock on the corner. Some vending markets have been added to the town, along with an arcade. There are telephone poles and there are more people and its definetly more colorful.
Looking at what 1990 looked like, I would say that in 2015, it would be pretty much more populated and that it might be more advanced. That would be my prediction. How about yours?
