New Providence
I have been studying the building called Getz & McClure in New Providence.
In 1875 the building was not there in stead there was a church. The church was white with a steeple. In 1910 the building was there! The building has windows with some canopies and some without. The street had no greenery in front of the building. There is a sign saying Getz & McClure which is the name of the company if you didn't know. The building had large doors. The building was about 6 stores high.
In 1935 the company was a printing company called Getz & McClure which was also the companies name in 1910. It had large doors. It also had large trees in front .the building had a billboard which states the name on the companies name. It also looked to me that the building was producing dried goods.
In 1955 the building had no windows. It had a big lighted Christmas tree on the side of the building. Its name was still Getz & McClure as it says it on a sign.. It looked as if it was selling Christmas things as that is what it said at the bottom in the windows .It has large billboard on top of the building advertising so type of meat. Smaller windows and doors then in 1935.
In 1970 the buildings color is yellow. It has no windows . But there are some on the bottom of the building. Its name is still Getz & McClure. It has billboards on top advertising some kind of drink. The building looks as if it is a mall or a some type of store.
In 1980 there are four signs. The green one states 100th anniversary. The yellow one says Getz & McClure. The blue one states 100th anniversary and the last one which is red states Getz & McClure. The building has no windows. The name is of courses Getz & McClure. It has a anniversary. The building is yellow.
In 1990 the building had plants in front of it. There was not billboard on to. The buildings name is still called Getz & McClure. It has green houses connected to it and has plants in it. The building has windows which are bigger. The doors are were bigger in the front. Also a lot of windows in the front.
In 2015 my prediction is that the buildings name will still be Getz & McClure. I also think it will have windows and plants in front. I think it will be taller.
I studied the building called Getz & McClure and I told you about it in 1875, 1910, 1935, 1955, 1970, 1980, and in 1990.
