The Game

The arrows made a ziming sound as they whized past me. One of them catching my side slowing me down. I kept on going, knowing that if I were to slow those horrific creatures would catch me. Grabbing one of my weapons I chucked it behind me. It exploded in a flash of white light. I shielded my eyes. When I opened them I saw they were just standing there kind of like they were frozen.

So that's what that glowing box does. I knew there would be more so I took advantage of my situation by setting careful traps for the next to come. Then I started off walking. I caught my dinner and covered my side. I could see my goal! I got full of myself. I waltzed over there and was about to jump in the whirlpool when I got an arrow in the back. Actually, live arrows.
GAME OVER.

Those horrible words flashed across the screen. I threw the controller to the ground in my rage. While they were ringing up my points I noticed the extra life score. I was only a few hundred away. Almost there. 1909 - 2356 - 2500! I got the extra life and high score!

I picked the controller up and started. I grabbed a herb from my belt. Pulled the arrows out and let the herb's aroma heal me. Or whatever it does. I was back. Right then I wished I had a lethal weapon. (All of mine were non-lethal.) So I chucked a good size rock at him or her. It hit squarely on the forehead of the odd creature, knocking it out. Then I was finally able to jump. Congratulations you made it to the Final Frontier.

Mother-a-fletcher! What is this place? Must be the last level. It kind of looks like a desert. No matter. I'm sure glad that old medicine man gave me his rain stick and spell on level 4. I used the spell. It started to rain. When I started to walk my foot got stuck. I can't get it out. As I move the sand around it I see what it is caught on, a rock formation of some sort. I had caught some little critters from some tunnels. I wonder will they dig the formation for me if I spare their lives? I tried my idea. It didn't go over so well. Then out of the blue a huge beast comes and takes a swing at me. I narrowly dodge all of its deadly nails. This went on for a great while.

I only have two herbs and one weapon. I stubbornly used all three at once. Ouch. It grubled, or something like that. But no real sign of pain. A ray of hope shone when it started batting at its feet. The little creatures from the tunnels. They were digging into his body. Then all of a sudden it fell to the ground. Since I had no weapons or herbs I had nothing to help with the digging. Then those little creatures crawled out of the opening in its foot. They started digging for me. After awhile I found that it was not a rock something much worse . . .
GAME OVER! ....No, no, no!

"Now." I heard my mom's voice. "Go to your room and write, I will not get mad, it is just a game -- 5 pages full front and back."

"Oh goodie!" I say, thrilled.
