My Dogs

My dog Patie was 11 years old. Patie died of a freak accident. I will start at the beginning.

One day we were at my dad's friends' house. They were logging and we heard barking. We stopped, looked around. A baby puppie was standing next to me. I picked it up, it was bleeding on its leg. I was only 7 at the time. I went in the house, got a band-aid. I put it around her leg, and put her down to see if she could walk. She did!! I picked her back up and ran outside to my dad. I said, "Can we keep her, Please!" My dad said, "Well, OK." "Ya." I said. When my dad was done logging, we went home. We named the puppie Patie. We found out she was an Airdale.

The next day Patie was sleeping on the couch. She has a new sister named Katie, she was an Airdale, too. They had fun. Together they play outside in the living room. The fight over who gets the bone, I give them each one. After they are done with their bones I give them water. "Slurp, sluuurp, sluurp." All the water is gone. They both run in the family room.

Five years later Katie gets a new home with Mr. and Mrs. Glosenger. Patie is 6 now and she is lonesome. The next day we get a chiwawa. His name is Qtip because he is plain white. He tries to hurt Patie but Patie hurts him first.

Right before everyone came to our Labor Day weekend party our chiwawa died. My mom let him out so he could chase the raccoons away. She thought they were raccoons but they were coyotes. It was about 3:40 in the morning when my mom goes to work. He got eaten by the dumb coyotes.

A couple days later the people who came for Labor Day were there at our house. We had fun for 4 days just as the people were leaving the freak accident began. Patie got stung inside the groat and she was getting all freaked and tied herself up in her chain around her neck. We were crying and crying. She couldn't breathe so we had to put water in her mouth finally my mom cut the collar off and Patie had already broke her neck. My mom told me to call Daron my cousin to help us because my dad was out golfing. So Daron came up and helped us. After a while she was suffering so we had to put her to sleep. We buried her next to her dog house where 2 of our other dogs got buried. I got to where she is almost every day to say hi. I always cry. My dad feels bad because he wasn't there.

I hope you haven't gone through the same thing I have. We have two more dogs now. Tommie and Murphy. Dogs are good animals. If you don't have one or two you should get them. I hope you have learned a lot about my life, and dogs.
