Slavery in the 1700's
by Sarah

I am going to tell you about slavery in the 1700's, why slavery was bad, and why people sold, and used other men for this particular "job."

Slavery in the 1700's and among other years wasn't very easy. Even Blacks captured Blacks. It was a terrible thing. People of all cultures being taken from their families and brought into the home of a stranger, being put to work and not knowing if they were to survive or ever see any of their family ever again.

Slavery was bad because the people who were slaves had to work for someone who only tells them what to do, not feeding them much food, whipping them if they did something wrong, escaped, didn't finish the job they had been given. Slavery was a really bad thing because everyone wouldn't know who or what they could trust.

People sold slaves because they knew people would use a high price in money to buy slaves. People bought salves because they wanted someone to do the job because they thought they were too good for the job.

Slavery was a very bad thing, hopefully the world may live in peace forever.
