Ibrahima's Life
by RyanHi, my name is Ryan and I'm going to talk to you about Ibrahima's life. I'm going to tell you about his life in Africa, sent to the U. S. and was a slave, and also Dr. Cox.
First, I'm going to tell you his life in Africa. Ibrahima was a prince in his tribe and was respected. Also he was a father of two sons. The Fula people were taller and lighter in complexion than other Africans in the west coast and they had silky hair that was usually long.
Ibrahima was captured by Americans and was a slave but not after a good fight. They fought and fought and finally they were captured. He was sold for $930 but not just him. He was sold for with someone else. He tried to plead with Foster to let him go but he wouldn't budge. After a lot of years he got married.
Dr. Cox was a good person who didn't pose any threat. He was injured and the Fula people helped him. He got to meet Ibrahima before he was captured of course. He was a friend there. He saw Ibrahima and tried to get him out but they wouldn't let him. He died in 1816. The State Government help sending letters to get him out and finally he was let go. In 1829 they got enough money to let his wife go. On July in 1829 Ibrahima died.
I hope you like my essay on Ibrahima and learned from it. I told you about his life, sent to U. S. as a slave, and Dr. Cox. Do you think slavery is right?
