Rain

There I sat in the car coming home from Seattle from my cousin's wedding. We were driving a Cadillac that we were borrowing from a friend. So I sat in the car and sat for hour after hour and so on. When we got to Scappoose It was an enormous flood. Everything was demolished. People were in boats, standing on cars or anything tall people were on it.

We went to our house. Our field was full of water about two feet! My mom was shocked.

Inside the whole downstairs was flooded but the upstairs was fine. School was out and my parents work was out too. So my dad dug ditches with his backhoe in the field. Then we started cleaning.

We took both shop vacuums and sucked up all the water. Then we had to scrub all the algae and scum off the walls. Then we had a carpet cleaner come. After that we cleaned our couch and threw out broken movies and other stuff.

Then I said to my mom, "We should have lived on a hill, mom."

"I know."

So everything was back to normal.
