My Experience at Prineville

It was a hot summer day when we decided to go on the boat. We were going to cross the lake and climb a mountain in the middle of the lake. We ate breakfast and left.

I got soaked and all wet. I was surprised how warm the water was. It was so fun. We drove around before we went to the mountain. When we got to the mountain it was really high up there. Also it was really slanted. We parked the boat and started hiking. There was all these plants with all different colors like blue and green. It seemed like wherever i stepped there was plants in the way. Also when i was climbing I saw a lot of medium sized rocks were all different colors on the same rock. It looked like some one painted them like military colors. Actually it looked like some one threw paint on it.

As I went higher and higher I saw bigger and weirder things. When I reached the top there was a whole bunch of big rocks and if you looked past them you could see like straight down the mountain. Also you could see the lake and other big mountains. The mountain was really wide. We went all they way around it on that side. My dad was the most daredevil so to speak. He would climb on the rocks and I would only look over it. It was pretty scary because if you feel over you might hit some land then you would crash into the water.

We were just about down when we saw a lizard. It was cool because it was black with a little bit of blue. I didn't see the blue until my dad got it out of a crack in a rock with a stick. I didn't know if it was poisonous or not so I told him not to catch it.

We were leaving and so my sister and I went ahead of them. We had to wait for them so I sat down on a rock which the rocks formed a ring. When my parents were close enough we went ahead. My parents went to the same rocks and saw a rattlesnake. They ran down the hill and told us. I told them that I sat right on those rocks. It was pretty scary for me. Then we got on the boat and left. That was my experience at Prineville.
