Wildlife Hike

"Shhhhhhhh" "If your quiet we can maybe see an animal" our leader Orion told us. So everyone got quiet and we continued to hike up a very steep hill.

"Be careful not to trip on any logs." said Orion

"This hill is killing me, I don't think I can make it." I said

"You can do it, were almost to the tree, you'll make it." Orion explained

"Ok were here." Orion yelled

So we all stopped at the tree that had been hit by lightening, in which the termites had been eating, so half of the tree was gone.

"Lets go." Orion shouted

"Are we almost to the top?" asked Debbie

"Yes were about 50 steps from it." answered Orion

"I'm gonna count," giggled Jessie

"49, 50 were there!" yelled Jessie

"Do you guys wanna play a game?" asked Orion

"Sure," we all answered

So Orion told us how to play the game and we played it for about 20 minutes, then we went on with our hike.

"Be careful for the animal scat." Orion blabbed

As we got further down the hill we ran into a stream with salamanders in it. So we looked at them for about 5 minutes. Then we headed back to camp and on our way back we stopped and looked at animal foot prints.

When we got back from the hike we answered questions, got our red beads, and played a fox game.
