My Experience

"Today," Lime shouted, "we learn about water." Then Lime started off on the stuff we were going to learn in our group. "In Ruby's group Evan, Josh, Nick H., Sarah, Nicc R., Karissa." So I walked up to her and so did the rest of them. Then Ruby led us down to the entrance of Camp Howard, past the gravel road onto a trail that led to a small creek pond. The first thing I noticed was a lot of green nets and I thought what those were for. Then I looked through the brush and saw Dustin's face. The face where you wish something. As we were having fun learning about D. O. and PH. Then we finally got to use the nets and Ruby said "everybody gets one net and try to catch something." I raced my arm in the circle of hands and ended up with the smallest one. So I looked in the small pond and saw a frog so I crept up and caught him and almost lost him. Then Luok (Ruby's helper) grabbed him and put him in a tub of water and the frog jumped out. "The frog wants to leave," Luok stated, and let him go. I was disappointed in a way but oh well.

So we went to the next station. When we got there, there was a big box about a foot high with sand in it. Then I noticed it had a slant. Ruby started talking about watersheds and how they form one big circle. Then Ruby explained instructions on what we were going to do, so I did the city and I had rocks for buildings and a piece of plastic to act like storm drains so other people made other types of land and the forest held the best, then we went back and met with the rest of our class and our camp leaders gave us our water bead after she threw a question at us and then we went back to the cafeteria and ate lunch.
